Hurricane George, ft. William Jewell College
Back Alley was invited to work with jazz students from William Jewell College. After working with the students on their own music, they learned this traditional New Orleans style song in roughly 20 minutes, then performed with us.
This Trombone Shorty tune is a crowd favorite that always gets the crowd moving! Live at "The Pitt" in Pittsburg, KS. (And no, there is not an "h" at the end of this small Kansas town!)
Main Stage at the Neeowallah Festival in Independence, KS
Sweet Dreams at Porchfest KC
Porchfest KC is an awesome event on Union Hill in downtown Kansas City. Residents volunteer around the neighborhood to have all kinds or artists play on the porch for crowds wandering block to block listening to a wide variety of local musicians.
Outdoor, socially distanced shows...how live music has been through the Covid-era. A big thanks to Limitless Brewing in Lenexa, KS for providing a place for Back Alley to perform during the warm months of the year!
A little Bruno Mars to show off our Trombone 1, Matt Hubble.
Pass the Peas
Recorded by the JB's, still played by guys like us! James Brown was the "Godfather of Soul" whose music influenced the Blues, Soul, Funk, Rock&Roll...you get the idea...for decades.
